With over 20 years experience in structural engineering, Cory has practiced extensively in the pacific north-western United States. With a focus on seismic assessment performance, and rehabilitation of buildings, he founded and directed a small consultancy practice for over ten years. Following the earthquake that devastated Port -au-Prince, Haiti, he spent a year and a half working with various organizations and governmental agencies to repair over 1000 homes as well as larger scale projects such as the strengthening and repair of the international airport. 
During his time in Portland, Cory also maintained a professorship for over eight years instructing architecture and building official students in a variety of structural engineering principles and design methods. Cory is a Professional Engineer in California, Washington and Oregon in the USA.
When not relaxing with a round of golf and cold pint of Renaissance Ale, he can be found enjoying whatever the South Island has to offer with his family.
